Ordering & delivery
We deliver anywhere in the UK by Royal Mail, 1st or 2nd class. Every card comes with its envelope, ready to write in and send on.
Postage is £2.99 for Royal Mail 2nd class or £1.99 for 1st class, and you only pay it once per order however many cards you buy. 2nd class is free on orders of £15.00 or more. You choose at checkout.
Yes. Sign in and go to My orders to see every order and its status. You'll also get an email confirmation as soon as you order.
Our cards
All our cards are 5×7 inches (about 127×178mm), and are sent with a matching envelope.
Yes, that's the whole point of Dogsday. Every design is drawn for a particular breed, with the right ears, coat, markings and personality, and the words play on that breed's real quirks.
Some of our cards can be personalised with your own photo. Look for "Personalisable" in the shop and upload your photo on the card's page. Or design a completely new card of your own dog with our card designer.
Designing your own card
Tell us about your dog and the card you'd like, pick an occasion, a tone and an illustration style, and we paint it for you. We also suggest headlines and inside messages, which you can change or replace with your own. You see a proof of the front, inside and back before you order.
Yes. Upload a clear photo of your dog and we'll paint them in the style you choose. Your photo stays private and you can delete it from your account at any time.
Yes, our card designer uses AI to paint the picture and suggest the words, guided by our own design rules. AI can get things wrong, so please check the proof carefully, especially spelling and names. We print exactly what you approve.
A card you design yourself is £4.99, plus postage. That includes printing, an envelope, and posting it to you.
Our cards are all about dogs, so we can't make cards about real people, famous characters or brands, or anything unkind. If a description is declined, your credit is returned straight away, so just try describing it a little differently.
Yes. On your design's page, choose "Share this design" to get a link you can send to friends or post on social media. You can stop sharing at any time.
Design credits
Each new design uses one credit. Your first design is free, and when you create an account you get 5 free designs in total. After that you can top up with a credit pack.
A new design, painting a new picture, or changing your description each use one credit. Asking for new headline ideas and editing the words are always free.
No. Your credits stay in your account until you use them.
If a design fails or your description is declined, the credit is returned to your account automatically.
Returns & your account
You can cancel an order of cards from our shop within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Personalised cards and cards you design yourself are made just for you, so they can't be returned if you change your mind. Full details are in our returns policy.
We're sorry! Contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo, and we'll send a replacement or refund you.
No, you can check out as a guest. An account lets you see your orders, keep your card designs, and get your free designs.
